Chelsea have been reported to have held a very private match between championship youth side Queen Park Rangers on Thursday 17th August, 2017 ahead of their clash with Tottenham Hotspurs on 20th August, 2017, Daily Star reported.
Featuring for the Blues were injured Eden Hazard and Tiemoue Bakayoko who are yet to start for the defending champions in this new season. The pair look fit and have a higher chance of playing in Sunday’s game against Spurs with multiple reports confirming that, Eden Hazard registered a goal in the game.
Paul Gilmour of Sky Sports also confirmed the match and the scores.
The other goal scorers of the 8-0 thrashing are unknown but a post from an obvious Chelsea fan stated that youth player, Charly Musonda and new signing Alvaro Morata saw their names on the score sheet as well with a brace each.
Chelsea are desperate for a win against Tottenham after losing their opening game to Burnley in a 2-3 defeat at the Stamford Bridge on 12th August, 2017. After losing to Bayern Munich and Inter Millan in the preseason, the Blues boss, Antonio Conte would go a long stretch to make sure the boys are fit and one strategy he devised was a secret match to test the recovery of Eden Hazard and Tiemoue Bakayoko.
