Jack Harrison Withdraws From England U21s Through Injury
Manchester City’s Jack Harrison, on loan at Middlesbrough, has withdrawn from the England U21 squad through injury.
The 21-year-old missed Saturday’s match with a minor abdominal strain as Demary Gray and Jake Clarke-Salter scored in a 2-1 win over Romania at Molineux.
Harrison only joined City in January – immediately joining Tony Pulis’ Middlesbrough on loan until the end of the season – after scoring 14 goals in 59 appearances for Major League Soccer side New York City FC
Born in Stoke-on-Trent and moving to the United States at the age of 14, Harrison was the No 1 pick in the 2016 MLS SuperDraft before moving back to England.
The winger has been limited to just two substitute appearances for Boro in the Sky Bet Championship this season, totalling 33 minutes.
